Nature’s Reflection

Project Overview

Nature’s Reflection is part of a self-directed brief, A Visual Journey to Reconnect with Nature, which explores our relationship with the natural world. Inspired by environmental art and artists like John Pfahl and Doug Aitken, this series invites viewers to experience nature through a new lens, while subtly addressing themes of climate change and encouraging environmental mindfulness.

For this series, I photographed a round mirror in various locations across Dartmoor, aiming to create dream-like imagery that explores both light and perspective. By capturing moments when the mirror’s reflection was slightly blurred, I sought to evoke an ethereal, ambiguous quality, encouraging deeper engagement with the themes of connection and disconnection from nature.
